Festival Weekend
On March 2nd, 3rd and 4th, TIFVA screened all 38 of the winning and nominated films from the 2011 season at Northrop Frye Hall at the University of Toronto. The festival weekend was a great success and we were proud to have a number of the winning directors at the event to receive their awards and interact with the attendees to the festival. As an added bonus, on March 3rd TIFVA presented “Exit Humanity”, an award winning film from director John Geddes. In addition, for the closing film of the weekend event, on March 4th, director Chad Archibald and Ryan Barrett (Best Actor, TIFVA 2011 season) made an appearance for a Q&A session along with members of the film cast of “Neverlost”. TIFVA would like to send out a special thank to our valued sponsors for this 3-day event as well as our volunteer crew, without whom we would not have been able to make this event such a success. The TIFVA team is looking forward to our next event celebrating selected films from the 2012 season.
