Synopsis: Young De Gexi was adopted by Eji. When he and Eji’s son Chaoer met a pack of wolves, it reminded him that his parents were killed by wolves, so he abandoned Chaoer and escaped alone out of fear. He was worried about being driven away, so he lied to Eji and hid the truth. Wolf hunters found a bloody garment of Chaoer, and thought Chaoer might be attacked by the wolves. When living with Eji, De Gexi felt that she missed his son, and her caring for him. Under Eji’s angry questioning, he finally confessed his escape. Eji was furious, but finally forgave him. She told him about the Mongolian legend of “Brave Grey Wolf and White Deer”. De Gexi was impressed. Supported by the emotional strength, he summoned up his courage and went to the woods to find traces of the wolves. He bit the bullet and fought the wolves with his knife. He saved Chaoer, and rescued himself. He didn’t want to be an orphan imprisoned by calamity, but a brave Mongolian warrior.
