2017 SUBMISSIONS NOT OPEN YET.
STAY TUNED FOR MORE DETAILS!

For your chance to be recognized as the best of the best in independent film – from any genre and from any country around the world – submit to TIFA.

All of our submissions are viewed by three industry professionals before moving forward in the competition.  We believe that this process gives our submissions the best possible chance – leaving individual preference out of the equation.  The winning films are screened to passionate film audiences in Toronto, hungry for the best in independent film.

In 2016 submissions are accepted in 14 categories, outlined below. Nominations in each category will be announced March 22, 2017. This year’s event will take place the weekend of May 7th, 2017.
